 Funcom is proud to announce that ‘Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures’ is now available as a free trial
Funcom, Fileplanet and Ausgamers have teamed up to provide gamers
everywhere with the opportunity to download and play ‘Age of Conan:
Hyborian Adventures’ for free for a period of seven to fourteen days.
This is the chance to experience the brutal, savage and sexy world of
Conan where you can live, fight and explore in the world of Hyboria
together with thousands of people from across the globe.
“The time has finally come for us to open the flood gates,” says Morten
Larssen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Funcom. “There is a
world of gamers out there who have never played ‘Age of Conan’ and we
want them to experience what hundreds of thousands of gamers have
before them. The game has matured tremendously since launch, and we
feel confident that this is the time to launch a trial. ‘Age of Conan’
is simply bigger and better than it ever was, and we want both new and
previous players alike to experience that!”

New PvE Officer Appointed

 Congratulations to Ulthae as our new PvE Officer of Sanguis Attexo.
Today is a great day. A great day to recieve promotion for some of our fine members. The Officer positions for Sanguis Attexo are Recruitment, Diplomacy, Echonomy and PvP/Raid.
Most positions are filled on a voulentary basis, and the members that have been asked/applied have all said yes to bring forth their best to make Sanguis Attexo one known guild on the Aquilonia server.

Age of Conan Share Their New Years Resolutions

Funcom talks with MTV about what's on the horizon for players in 2009
MTV asks Game Director Craig Morrison about Age of Conan's new year's resolution for 2009 and here is what he had to say:
Craig Morrison, game director:
A true Hyborian warrior doesn’t make resolutions, resolutions are
for the weak, a Hyborian’s goals are always met! Or they will die
trying! Our resolution this year is to ensure that we are responsible for
even more decapitations (preferably stylish ones achieved at the end of
glorious and bloody battles with our foes) than ever before! Our resolution is to entice even more brave souls to the brutal
and thrilling world of King Conan. We can’t vouch for your safety,
decapitations are a fact of life in Hyboria (the best you can hope is
that it’s your foes head and not yours that flies) but rewards torn
from the bodies of decapitated foes are always much more rewarding.
On a more serious note…-
In the year ahead we aim to continue to focus on the areas of the
game that we feel will bring the Hyborian experience to eaven greater
life. There are really two main areas that we will be concentrating on
for 2009. Firstly, we will of course continue to add great new areas,
dungeons, content and quests for players to enjoy, in particular
focusing on the higher level areas.
- Secondly we are working a lot on developing the character and
community elements of the game, this means you will see a new focus on
character progression through better use of character statistics and
items in the game and then later in the year a lot more focus on guild
functionality and options for guild development.
- In addition we are already underway on the first expansion to “Age of
Conan” and there will be more details on that throughout the course of
2009!
- Most of all we are looking forwards to providing as much fun and
enjoyment as we can for the brave souls who dare to explore the brutal
and deadly world of Hyboria in 2009.

Server Merges: List of Servers
|
|
 As you probably have heard, we merged the two US servers 'Bloodspire'
and 'Hyperborea' on 7th of January. We monitored the new server closely
and can confirm that the merge was going very well and without issues.
So we will now proceed with the next steps for the other servers.
Firstly, we present you the list of the planned servers to be merged
(see below). We will proceed with merging next week and the specific
date and time as well as the expected downtime will be announced soon
too. As a general information we can already say that the plan is to
merge all EU servers in one go and all US servers in another go.
Now, here's the list of planned server merges. The first server shown (in bold) will remain as the servername after the merges. The servers merged together with the first one are then listed below.
